CHICK DAY IS A GO!

Yesterday's extreme rain brought massive devastation in Barnet to Rt 5 and Mill Hill Rd leading down to Morrison's Custom Feeds plant, causing loss of power (kind of essential!) The feed mill itself had 6" of water running through it. A crew was assembled by Earl Morrison early this morning, and a car was removed from the washed out road, rocks hauled in and road rebuilt so the power company could fix the line! A job that would have taken literally days, was completed by 5 pm tonight and feed was being mixed for thousands of animals once again.
Meanwhile in St Johnsbury, our store on Memorial Dr saw water within 10 feet of the front door. Lynn and Laurie worked together to move outdoor products to higher ground, sand bag the warehouse and cut power to our lit sign which was nearly under water. Of course today was our final Chick Day! All the chicks arrived in good health and will be available to pick up Friday morning!

Morrison's has an amazing team of workers who go above and beyond to make this all happen. In addition to 2 staff guarding our store front all day, we had 3 truck drivers delivering bulk feed to Maine, New York and Burlington, and 5 mill workers cleaning, repairing and mixing feed to load for tomorrow's deliveries. WE ARE BLESSED!

Thank you for appreciating your employees, and so glad your efforts were successful. This is a positive amongst all the devastation. God Bless!

No surprise with the work ethics of the Morrison family!

Well done and thank you for acknowledging your employees. Glad you are up and running So much devastation in and around this community. God Bless

Team work always succeeds! Great work

Thankyou to the Morrison's for all their efforts and of course the employees at the store are remarkable. They could have said" I am going home" but instead stood strong and did as much as they could before the "tide" came in. What a wonderful group of people and I am proud to say I know them and do business with them for my critters. God Bless and keep up the good work and spread around what you are all doing and maybe it will encourage others to do the same.

Bet your glad the building was built back up the hill a bit!

Oh my goodness! I've seen lots of flooding in St. Johnsbury Center over the years, but this is a lot! πŸ˜³πŸ™πŸ˜’

Water front property at now additional cost. I don't mean to make a joke of this. This is all unbelievable!

So much rain and water. I hope everyone stays safe.

Lyndonville has a piece of my heart. I hope the store stays safe and waters recede. How terrible.

hopefully it is early tomorrow because I have farmers market and then I am out of town for the weekend with someone coming to care for the birds while I am away. I am panicking alittle

That is because like Dubai government is seeding the clouds

Will you all take a check in case I need to find someone to pick them up for me?

So sorry to see this! It's just unreal. I was just there yesterday. Praying for you all.

I hope all goes down quick. Stay safe all

As far as our meat birds go, what are your thoughts?

Is the staff member there ok? As well as the birds?

The areas that got hit are so sad.

Wow! Thinking of all of you.

OMG VT! What the heck! MA got nothing. Please stay safe!

Holy crap. So sorry.

How are you getting out

Stay safe

Unbelievable

Stay safe

Stay safe!
